Call for Proposals: Postdoctoral Fellowship
The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Bar-Ilan University seeks qualified postdoctoral fellows, preferably those who received their Ph.D. from reputable research universities outside Israel within the last three years. The fields of research are open, but candidates will only be considered if they can name a sponsor (a senior faculty member of our Department) who is willing to work with them.
Preference will be given to the candidates who have already published their work (from the Masters or Ph.D. phase) and/or have articles/book in preparation or submitted for publication.
The fellowship of up to 85,000 NIS will be offered for the first year, with the possibility of extension for the second year, pending the review by the sponsor and departmental committee.
The deadline for the current postdoctoral cycle (fellowships starting in October 2023) is March 31, 2023.
Candidates will be selected based on merit. They should first send a CV along with a brief letter of interest describing their academic track, research interests, and the name of the sponsor to Professor Larissa Remennick at: Larissa.remennick@biu.ac.il.
If this initial info seems relevant and promising, they will be asked to submit their research program, the names of three referees (one of whom should be their doctoral adviser), the abstract of their doctoral thesis, and publications (if any).
